mail notification issue for events

Hi, i seem to have an issue with the e-mail notification for events. When i am subscribed to a course, and i test a notification for an upcoming event (invitation), i don't receive an e-mail. Also, wplms gives a message that invitation is sent to 0 students, however i am an active student to the course. I followed the steps available on your documentation: setting up e-mailpage, checking buddypress settings and so on. But no luck. What could be the problem? Thank you.
