Hi, I am using loco translate to translate the site to Vietnamese. I want to make it multilingual site with language switch button. I see you have WPML add-on, however, when I downloaded and installed such add on the whole site crashed, I had to go to recovery mode to uninstall the add on in order for the site to work. 1. Is it ok for me to install WPML without the add on ? 2. Can the WPML translates contents like quiz and course ? Is the quiz and course switchs to the selected language ? 3. Will my translation of plugins from loco translate be reused in WPML or I have to translate everything from beginning ? Thank you

Loco Translate and WPML are totally different Loco Translate used for Single Site Translations and the translated strings here cannot be used for WPML Because WPML actually creates a copy of everything, and if you want to setup a new subsite in a different language, then you have to create everything from scratch, you will find the option to copy the course structure but adding the content in any other language(That you have to translate manually and then you need to add) Here is the doc: https://docs.wplms.io/translation-guide/wpml-integration-multilingual-sites https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hgtz9x3X85w For practise, try first on local setup so that you can understand how actually this works

Hi, I followed the guide to the step of translating menu 1. My menu is like this https://photos.app.goo.gl/5getbLfy6PQZq8mK6 The class of the manu is custom link, but I don't know how to make it like the Vietnamese version 2. I want to translate the quiz to English too: - Is that possible to translate questions ? Or I have to make up new question in English ? - If I translate the question, is the quiz automatically switch its language ? or I have to create a new quiz too ? 3. If I translate a Vietnamse course to English course, are they still the same course or now 2 different page ? Is it like I create a new course ? 4. Is there any problem I should expected in translating course, quiz and question ? Please help Thank you

I think I would like to paraphase the questions this way to make it easier 1. Which parts (unit, course, quiz, question) can be translated to function normally by just switching the language ? 2. Which parts should be created anew in English ?

    1. Install the WPML Menu extension and you should be able to translate different menus for each language https://prnt.sc/1192e2e 2. Yes, you can create the same quiz with different questions when translated into different language set. 3. They are actually 2 different courses which appear based on language selected 4. Not aware of problems.

Hi, I already install the WPML. I would like to clarify further about 2 as I am afraid I would make a mistake and mess up the system in the process 1. So when I want to translate the quiz, I will go to wp-admin/ LMS/ All questions, then I will click in "Add translation to English" icon next to each question and type the translated content in like this right ?https://vimeo.com/536143090/22cb83fc86 2. When user switches the site to English, the course, quiz and question will be automatically switched to English version, right ? 3. When I click copy content from Vietnamese, only the title and question are copied, other question settings are not. It is normal right ? Thank you

If you are not aware about the functionality of WPML and working on live site, then better to perform on staging site first and then go to live site This method will work for everything: Pages, posts, courses, quizzes, units Suppose you are creating quizzes in different language, yes, click on that + icon which is present beside every quiz and create a new quiz in another language Now you will have a copy of your quiz but in another language(you have to add the content manually, it will not translate the quizzes automatically) Point 2: Yes, it will detect the current language of site and show the content accordingly. Suppose you have a site in "french Language" but none of your courses are translated in that language. On switching to "French", it won't show anything because there is nothing to show Point 3: Yes, it is normal

Hi, I finished the translation, however, the texts are not translated, this is an example among many texts not translated https://vimeo.com/549306039/562e0b0935 I sent my question to WPML, and I got this, they said your theme is not compatible, could you please help ? ------------------------- Hi, I've checked many things on your site and consulted my team regarding this issue. Since your site is complexed, it is hard for us to know why the strings you imported are not showing. The first thing that you should continue with is to import the remaining .po files. If you are afraid that it would break something, then take a full backup of your site before doing it. Or first test things on a copy of your site. This is always the recommended procedure. In addition to the above, here are more points that I would like to stress here. 1. When you import the .po files in WPML -> String Translation, you should make sure that you import them into the correct text-domain. It is what Bobby explained to you here. https://wpml.org/forums/topic/loco-translate-content-is-not-found-in-wpml/#post-8628785 In your video, I could not see the first step of the configuration of the import settings. I guess that with the three files you shared with us, the text domains you would need to choose are the following. - wplms - vibebp - vibe 2. After importing the .po files, you may try to press the Update button on the pages where they are showing. This might trigger the new translation to show. 3. Make sure that you are importing the exact strings. I'll explain now. Let's take the following two strings that you gave me as an example in your last reply. - Continue course - Reviews I can see that "continue course" is showing and translated 3 times in the wplms-vi.po file you shared with us. It is translated into "Tiếp tục khóa học". But is this the exact string that is not getting translated on the page you sent me as an example? I'm in doubt that it is the same string. I'll explain why. When I inspect this string in the browser, I can see that it is part of a link and the "COURSE" word is inside a span tag like this. 1 <u>hidden link</u>">CONTINUE <span class="subs"> COURSE</span> Please see the attached screenshot continue-course.jpg. Something similar is also happening with the "Reviews" string. It is not a stand-alone string, but it is part of this string "( 2 REVIEWS )". Please see the attached screenshot reviews.jpg. I would guess that if it is a translatable string, then the number part (2) is dynamically added. So it would be a placeholder for the number. 4. The WPLMS theme and its plugins Vibethemes hidden link is not officially compatible with WPML. We've had many reported issues of compatibility with WPML. Some of them our compatibility team could not solve only from our side. The cooperation of the developers is needed for this. But they didn't respond to our cooperation requests. It would be great if you could contact the authors and urge them to join our Go Global Program. You can find details about it here. https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/ We will be happy to cooperate with the authors in making their plugin officially compatible with WPML. I hope that this information would help you solve this issue. Regards, Itamar.
