Hi, I'm creating a certificate with Certificate pdf. But after assigned a certificate to student, appears again and again an old pdf certificate that I deleted. Checking in ftp, I noticed that, even if I deleted pdf file in upload path, it is regenerated everytime student click on icon. I'm sure it is related certificate and I tried also to remove and reassign certificate to student in dashboard instructor. Thank you

Thank you. Sorry but I don't understand. If I add "?regenerate_certificate" to the url on profile student appears old certificate https://prnt.sc/o2x9xz and in your example if a user clicks on the icon, "?regenerate_certificate" doesn't appears automatically. Could you help me? Thank you very much.

Hi, now I can see updated certificate in an user profile without adding "/?regenerate_certificate:" to the url. I have to ask you, in a your previous reply, you told me to disable "course certificate in image mode" option. But I need to show only pdf version, if I enable again this option, I will have problems again in the future? Thank you

Actually, when you regenerate certificate it saves the updated certificate in image formate. so that for each time you open profile URL it only needs to fetch an image from media. (It's just for make processing fast )
If you are updating certificate you will need to disable "course certificate in image mode" option. without disabling, the image will not save in media and certificate will not update.
If you are using pdf certificate or image. while updating you will have to disable it.

Sorry, but I create a new certificate. I keep disabled that option "course certificate in image mode". I've assigned new certificate to my course and reset certificate for student. Then I assigned new certificate to student, but I still see again old certificate: http://somup.com/cq1roJn8QZ

I get the issue and as expected the issue is related to browser caching . The issue is that once browser loads the pdf file from a url it caches it and hence the updated pdf does not shows . To get the updated pdf try to append ?random=1 in the pdf url , this changes the url value and browser this time tries to load the updated file from server . We need to automate this process by appending this random string which we will be doing in next update . Here is the proof video showing updated certificate to me : http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cq13iyTsIa
