Please remove all the codes given above and add this given code in your wplms-customizer.php file in wplms customizer plugin :
add_filter( 'bp_email_use_wp_mail', function (){ return true; });
also try to deactivate all your third party plugins in your site and check this issue again .

Added the code and renamed the previous file as an old one so that you may recover the changes.
