April 12, 2021 at 8:41 pm #352010MarcoSpectatorHello, I have course that are only for 1 day and I would like to know how: 1 - disable/hide course button or how to change the text on button after the course is ended, for example: a course start on 15 of April and is only for 1 day, the day after, on 16 of April, people dosen,t see the text "TAKE THIS COURSE" but they see something like "COURSE ENDED". I don't like do disable accessibility without choose any option (price or free course) because the "TAKE THIS COURSE" button will become"PRIVATE COURSE". 2 - disable course access for student subscribed to a course after a certain number of days the course is ended. Thank you for any suggestion! MarcoApril 13, 2021 at 7:42 am #352085DianaParticipantPoint 1: When the course is finished, the text will change itself on course button, on the basis of start date, limiting course access, we don't have this functionality No idea whether this will work or not: https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/setting-a-course-end-date/ But using this tip, you can create a metabox which will store the end date information of the course and then not let the users to access course material Point 2: Yes, if course duration is set as "2 days" and user is enrolled in that course, then after 2 days the course will be expired for that userApril 16, 2021 at 2:10 pm #352927MarcoSpectatorDear Diana I think the code is not working with free course. In the front end doesn't save the end date. I found this https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/force-course-expiry-for-all-users-to-a-set-date-and-time/ but is only for backend but a student can take the free course even if the end date is passed. Any solution? Thank you, MarcoApril 17, 2021 at 4:05 am #352990DianaParticipantThis tip is very old, And now in frontend we are using different technology. You can try this tip if it is working or not, but you have to manage this end date functionality from backend onlyApril 20, 2021 at 11:19 am #353576MarcoSpectatorDear Diana, I tryed but the tip doesn't work, and if I set and end date student still access to course. The only solution is manually extend the subscriptions using negative values, so I can set the course as expired. But is possible to check all the students from frontend in v4? Actually there is no option and is really a waste of time to check manually every student! Thank you, MarcoApril 21, 2021 at 11:06 am #353740DianaParticipanthttp://prntscr.com/11stpmh When you check any course from frontend, in this way it shows the expired status And when this user will try to access the course after logging in to his account, the button of course will show "Expired"April 21, 2021 at 4:38 pm #353787MarcoSpectatorDear Diana, this css a good workaround, but is possible to check to select all student with one click? So I could select all student and for example change the subscription to course! Thank you, MarcoApril 22, 2021 at 10:43 am #353929DianaParticipantYou can try this: https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/extending-subscription-of-all-users-in-a-course/
