The trash characters are the same: my last inputs for the last quiz. Not necessarily for this quiz. The same evaluation text in other user has different trash characters those are their last inputs for quiz...
Your print screen is about dropdown questions. Those were always ok.
I have made a test in a short quiz with multiply fillblanks. This is the first time that I have seen the trach character problem in live quiz too.
The line was not empty but full of trash characters. So to be able to answer a question first I had to delete the trash...
Are you testing something in the system or what happens?
One more information for you.
After the live quiz trash character problem, checking the evaluation form in this case the fillblanks in evaluation from were clear as should be.
It looks like you move the problem one step back, but this is now bigger problem than it was. Trash characters in answers in the live quizzes are very bad!

The cache plugin is not activated, I think it was you. I did not activate to have the same results.

As I see you changed in cusomizer plugin the following line:

ok I have removed this completely .
As I see for one example of a newly answered quiz, it was working without trash characters.
But for earlier evaluated or pending quizzes we still have the problem...

2 . Clear out cache deactivate the cache plugin .
This should no appear as we have totally removed the code
