Hello,
We need to a have a pre-test and post-test and be able to compare the scores. However, we don't want the pre-test to count toward the final course grade.
If I use the survey question types and set a correct answer, the quiz results don't indicate which questions are correct/incorrect, even if the quiz is set to auto-evaluate.
If I use quiz question types (i.e. multiple choice), and set the question mark to 0, the score is factored into the final grade. So someone who gets a 100 on the post test still ends up with 50/100 for the final grade.
Is there a way to create an auto-graded quiz with results that show correct/incorrect answers, but doesn't count toward the final grade?
This is not possible but we are adding provision for this in out next update .To exclude the quiz from course please simply disconnect the quiz from course in quiz settings .

and then enable this settings in lms settings :

Note that this setting will be available in the next update of wplms .
Thanks for your reply. I don't seem to have the LMS setting to exclude quizzes not connected to a course from evaluation - see screenshot below.
Yes, you are right this setting was removed.
You need to simply exclude the quiz from course, please simply disconnect the quiz from course in quiz settings .
Then it should work fine.
Hi there, even when I exclude a quiz from a course, the results are still factored into the final course score.
Right now, each of our courses have a pre-test and post-test. We only want the post-test to count toward the final course score, but we still need to see the score for the pre-test for reporting purposes.
In recent update we have added a setting to exclude quizzes that are not connected .
You just need to got wp-admin -> lms -> settings -> " Exclude quizzes not connected to course from evaluation" -> enable it and save .
It works, but how do instructors see the quiz results for the quizzes not connected to the course? The results no longer show up in the activity feed.
Thanks
Well that would be a limitation . If the quiz is not connected to course in quiz settings then its related activities will not show in course activity .
Yes, you are right. If the quiz is not connected to the course then it will not show up in the activity feed.
