Instructors can't upload images, video, and audio

Hi I have disabled backend access for instructors, so they can only create courses through the frond end. I tested the process and wasn't able to upload images (there wasn't an option to add media at all). I tried also the shortcode for video. That broke the page, nothing happened. Is it because instructors can't upload via the backend or is there some setting that I missed? Instructors can't access certificate template creation either. Is that how it is supposed to be?

Thanks for checking. I wasn't referring to course image. I was referring to media (images, video or audio) in units. The shortcode I refer to in my first comment is the theme's video shortcode, which appears in the editor but nothing happens when clicking on it, again in units, created in the frontend by instructors.

Hmm.. yeah I tried as well and it worked fine and the add media button was there. No idea what went wrong before... Thanks for checking.
