May 22, 2017 at 7:26 pm #113418erpwebtutorSpectatorWe used the WPLMS import/export functionality to migrate the courses and the students and now realizing that unit comments (using Notes and discussion) don't have any student link. They are all appearing independently. This is really bad from the student experience. Is there a way to get this fixed now?May 22, 2017 at 7:29 pm #113419erpwebtutorSpectatorThis reply has been marked as private.May 22, 2017 at 11:56 pm #113434erpwebtutorSpectatorWe have received numerous complaints so far on this. Ping back for reminder.May 26, 2017 at 2:30 pm #114204erpwebtutorSpectatorHello This is becoming a major pain-point for us. Do you have any solution for this issue? Regards ERPWebTutor SupportMay 27, 2017 at 1:31 pm #114300Anshuman SahuKeymasterOk can you please confirm if you checked "export user " and "export user connected data" while exporting the course ? http://prntscr.com/fcp419 please also tell : 1. if these users are users that should be imported with the course ? 2. If these users are existing users in site in which you are importing ?May 27, 2017 at 3:16 pm #114331erpwebtutorSpectatorWe have definitely checked the checkbox while importing. When the import file was loaded into the new installation, there were no users in the new one. The users were generated from the import file itself. Did you try exporting from an existing installation and importing into a blank instance? Regards ERPWebTutor SupportMay 29, 2017 at 3:33 pm #114622Anshuman SahuKeymasterWell I just ran a test import on blank install and found that the user and its rating was successfully imported along with course . For this you have to make sure that the user id,email, username of the student in the csv file does not match user id,email, username on the setup that you are trying to import . If any of the above matches with the site user then it will not import the user as new and will overwrite the data of the existing user on the site .May 29, 2017 at 3:40 pm #114624erpwebtutorSpectatorAlex The issue is not with the course reviews. Those got imported successfully. The problem is with the unit comments. Those are getting imported without the author and also the links are broken. (e.g. A writes a comment and B replies to that comment, the data is coming over as 2 independent comments without the author). Please try to reproduce the issue in your test application. Regards ERPWebTutorMay 30, 2017 at 2:50 pm #114773Anshuman SahuKeymasterOops my mistake ,sorry for that ,Issue is replicated at my test site this time. Adding to issue log . Will be fixed in the next update of wplms . track : https://trello.com/c/K4vZCvB0May 30, 2017 at 2:57 pm #114775erpwebtutorSpectatorAlex Thanks for acknowledging the problem. We would really appreciate if you can come up with fix for people who have imported it earlier. We still have the old data where the comments were connected properly. If no general fix is made available, please help us with a one-off fix to connect those comments with the users. This has really become a big problem for us after the re-install.
