October 4, 2021 at 1:28 am #371989goldenprintParticipantplease see the video on the following link for better understanding the issues: https://www.dropbox.com/s/37k1vh06d2ipwnj/issues%20in%20wplms%201%20.mp4?dl=0 1- what is the difference between adding a field using (Sign up group) vs ticking a field in the Registration forms tab in LMS > setting 2 - how can I translate these 2 fields (they seems to be the default fields) 3 - visible to everyone vs only for me? I don't want any member to see others info such as email, phone number how to achive that. how to do that? 4 - can I hide this option (visibility) ?October 4, 2021 at 2:42 pm #372048MrVibeKeymaster1. Singup group is a BuddyPress function. Registration forms is WPLMS. There can be only 1 signup form in BuddyPress whereas there can be unlimited registration forms in WPLMS. 2. These two are static strings located in theme translation files. 3. USe registration forms for this, disable free registration [WP admin - settings - general - anyone can register] to stop buddypress registration form from appearing. 4. Yes only in Registration forms, there is a setting in every form to hide the field Meta information.October 12, 2021 at 12:50 pm #372627goldenprintParticipantThank you for your reply. for some reason I don't see [anyone can register] option in [WP admin – settings – general – anyone can register] I use multi-site. I am not activating buddypress in the network setting as you recommended to me in another ticket.October 14, 2021 at 1:34 pm #372810Anshuman SahuKeymaster1. In such case disable registration option shifted to network settings or in the settings of each sub site . 2 . TO set the visibility by force . http://prntscr.com/1w4ar8vOctober 14, 2021 at 1:55 pm #372819goldenprintParticipant1- but even in the network I can't find the option "anyone can register" (WP admin – settings – general – anyone can register) 2- I set it to "only by me". but on the registration form still showing "Everyone" even after I clean the bowser cashe and open in "incognito mode"October 15, 2021 at 1:49 am #372839MrVibeKeymaster1. Can you kindly check this : https://wpmudev.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/network-settings-before.png 2. you are using a Social field type which can not be used in registration form.October 15, 2021 at 2:38 am #372844goldenprintParticipantPlease read carefully: see the video: at 1:45 https://www.dropbox.com/s/37k1vh06d2ipwnj/issues%20in%20wplms%201%20.mp4?dl=0 1- I already tried this option: https://wpmudev.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/network-settings-before.png It makes the signup form disappear from the main site https://prnt.sc/1w6yow0 Also it affects only the main site not the other site. 2- what is the social field type? where I'm I using it. please clarify you didn't mention this in the all the previous replies. instead you said disable BuddyPress. now I am confused : which one the the solution .. is it disabling buddypress as you said at first or not using what you called social fields?? please provide a detailed and accurate answerOctober 16, 2021 at 3:46 pm #372926Anshuman SahuKeymasterYes you are right the visibility of the profile fields are not showing correctly there on the registration form . Adding to issue log : https://trello.com/c/OucgJlBE However this setting will work as it should be.Its just the display bug ,we can hide it with css until issue resolves . please try adding this custom css in your wp-admin -> appearance -> customize -> custom css :
.field-visibility-settings-toggle ,.field-visibility-settings-notoggle{ display: none; }
October 25, 2021 at 1:26 am #373474MrVibeKeymasterAny response ?October 25, 2021 at 1:33 am #373475MrVibeKeymaster1. There is default wordpress functionality of signup regsitrattion 2. Your question about visibility is invalid : Simply do not select "visibility" only me fields in registration form. As the user is not logged in the site can not ensure the visibility levels, you should not select such fields in registration forms for registration. Emails by default are not viisble to users. 3. Simply translate using locotranslate the fields email and password, wordpress can not register users without email and password those two are mandatory fields.October 25, 2021 at 1:34 am #373476MrVibeKeymaster4. in the settings of the custom registration form you will see the checkbox to hide additional meta information on the fields. You can use that to hide the additional infromation. -
