new registration and profile field

hello, How can I add new fields to the registration form and the users profile? For instance a field where the user may set if it is a private user (individual) or a company? regards!

Well for that you can add profile field In Base profile field group from wp-admin -> users -> profile fields  .This will show up while registering on site . Or for already registered users it will show in their profile -> edit tab .They can fill up it.
