Newbie.. What is meant by reset permalinks?

Newbie, not a developer or wed designer so when they say rest the permalinks, I dont know what that means? what should the permalinks be at in the first place and how do I reset them?   Thank you A4da

Hey, just go to your wordpress admin and navigate to Settings>Permalinks (or something like that, not in wp admin atm and mine is translated anyway) set common settings to post name and save it.. This will update your permalinks. If you want you can also set custom slugs for some pages.
