Yes When the user will click on it, he'll be redirect to the product page, and not to the lesson
when the subscription expired for him and course is expired.
If you want to keep the access to course then what's the point of selling subscription for limited days ?
I dont exactly understand what you are trying to do , why would customer will pay extra for lifetime subscription if expired course access should be allowed .

Well if woocommerce automatically renew the subscription then expired course button will never appear .
what if user cancels the subscription of he does not have any money in his card he used to subscribe ?

2 . in such case we need to modify the wplms woocommerce subscription plugin . please goto wp-admin -> plugins -> plugin editor, select wplms woocommerce subscription addon and edit it :
