Hello, my classes are currently on YouTube. And when I put my videos in my courses, here is what happens: https://postimg.org/image/55q21ppn9/
How have my videos in my courses?
Thanks.
David.
You are adding the direct url of the youtube video.
You need to put the embed code in the text mode of the editor.
You can also try using the [iframevideo] shortcode to add the embed code.
Let me know if this helps.
I thought that with the new version of wordpress you had just put the link.
Do you recommend a plugin to embed YouTube videos?
How else simply integrate?
Thank you,
David.
Well yes with the new version you just need to put the youtube embed link but that will not make your videos stretch to 100% and responsive .
Using iframevideo shortocode will :
Use it like this :
[iframevideo]<iframe width=”640″ height=”360″ src=”https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/WCchr07kLPE” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen></iframe>[/iframevideo]It does not work : https://alfange.academy/formations/devenez-libre-grace-a-votre-business-sur-internet/
Do you have a simpler way AND that works?
It must be simple (because my instructors do not want to bother with the code).
Do you have a plugin to embed YouTube videos? (Even a paid plugin)
When I put the code you’ve told me, the following appears: https://postimg.org/image/rwlw7e87n/ (the home page).
I did the test by placing the Vibe shortcode, and when I backup the video disappears : https://postimg.org/image/3q35tfqtp/
Well you have to put the iframe code in your units to make the youtube videos run in the course .
There is no simple tool to embed YouTube videos available as of now .
you can use third party plugins for this .1. I put my shortcode (with Vibe shortcode) and my iframe YouTube : https://postimg.org/image/h8vs9hjr5/
What happens in the Text : https://postimg.org/image/rztss7mcn/
2. I save
3. I’ll see the course (as a student) : https://postimg.org/image/xbcr2g6l3/
4. I go see (as an instructor) : https://postimg.org/image/mnfcbcd5x/
(iframe link disappeared)
Could you go see? I really need to put videos (all my courses are in video).
CAn you please share your site url and admin credentials to check the issue at your end ?
PS : mark reply as private while sharing .I checked your site and was able to replicate the issue .But i was able to add the video from back end unit edit page .
check your-site.com/test-video page
Please try deactivating other third party plugins in your site specially the one which are related to caching .I disabled 6 plugins that could cause problems … but nothing changes.
To summarize, there are two problems:
Side student: https://postimg.org/image/ocj3jfs79/
I can’t see the video.
Side instructor: https://postimg.org/image/s9smqwfnn/
I don’t have the visual editor.
Could you watched because I do not know where these problems may come. : /
We debugged into this and were not able to replicate the issue at our test and demo setups or none other user has reported the same issue with the shortcodes in text mode .
I suspect that is appearing due to a third party plugin .
Can you please test this issue on a separate clean install of wplms(maybe on locahost ).
