Redirection to Member Profile after taking course

Hi, when I am logged in as a user and taking or continuing a course, I am briefly redirected to a profile page and then redirected to my real profile to my course overview. Process: Course directory -> select course -> course page with "Start/Continue" button -> automatic redirection to a rudimentary profile page -> automatic redirection to my real profile page with course overview. Why do I first get automatically redirected to this rudimentary profile page for a short time before I get to my course overview?

I have the same issue. However, I do not want to enable Buddypress Single page because:

1. It removes my main menu bar from the site, and
2. The Login/Profile link automatically redirects to the Single Page, with no way of getting back (without adding pages to the LoggedIn Menu)

So, is there any way to eliminate that "flash redirect"? Can I change the timing so that it is instant and not seen? Please Note, I use Code Snippets so I can add code if necessary.
