Hi Guys, I have had a dig around and from what I can find the system does not support Revisions, is that correct? I ask because it's quite normal to want to change a whole bunch of stuff, have a look at what it looks like, and then if it's not good, revert back to a previously "good" copy. This appears to not be possible now, and if so, that's a huge let down.  Especially when we are changing content constantly.  There seems no way to make a backup copy! Any advice please?

Hi Logan, On page builder.  It seems crazy in any development world to not be able to revert back should something go wrong.  There is not even any way to "Duplicate" the page, so it's nuts! Given the complexity of a lot of the pages, with sliders, and other content scattered everywhere, it could be very easy to make a change that turns the page to crap.  Having no way to go back, is nuts. The only way I am currently getting around this (and it's a HUGE pain) is to make any changes in a staging environment, and then dump to production.  That way at least, if it all turns to poo, I can pull production back to staging and start again.  But for simple content updates, this is crazy. As a developer, no revisions is a stupid idea.  If I work on ANY script, or content in anything, I make a backup copy first.  Just my 0.2.

Yes I do agree that revisions are needed in order to build your content . Revision thing is not available in Vibe page builder as of now . But we have integrated theme with Visual Composer and elementor plugin which supports revisions . We also have all templates in visual composer for all demo home pages . Refer: https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/wplms-vc-templates/

Ok Thanks. Question though.... I am half way through building our entire new website, if I install as above, will I lose anything?  I would really not want to start again!  :(

Hmm.. something is not right here.   I have followed the steps and have installed the plugins etc.  I have the option now to edit a page with WP Page Builder, but when I do, I get a blank editor box at the top, and the rest of my page in the Page Builder that came with WPLMS.  I still don't get revisions, and anything I type in WP Page Builder does not save to the page.   SO confused!! Hello, It might be possible that you are using more than one builder for a single page. you can use only one page builder at a time for a page. if you are designing same page with many page builders that could create shortcode conflicts. showing you an example. as i am using demo 1o, Here is my demo setup & how does this work: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cqn3iA01Ft Else share your wp-admin credentials and url in a private reply. i will check this issue.

Hi,   No, what I was hoping for is the content I have already created in in Page Builder, I can now edit in WP Bakery Page Builder, but that does not appear correct.  Meaning, I would now need to recreate everything again - And I still don't have revisions at all.  :(

    Yes,

That can be done but every page builder has its own feature and functionality. if you build block with wp-bakery then the classes will be different, if you build block with vibe page builder then the classes will be different, if you build block with elementor then the classes will be different. they all use their own shortcode and it cant be parsed by another page builder that is why you cant use two page builder for same time.

Also want to tell you please install elementor plugin that is most sophisticated page builder than others. i personally like this one. just recommendation rest choice is yours.

Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information.

Ok thanks!  So I guess I have to redo all my content now, if I want to move over to a new page builder that will support revisions. That is a real pain!  :(

Hello, Yes this is something we do not control. users are using page builder of their own choice in which the feel ease and sophistication. we are hust using these 3rd party plugins to achieve the customers goal. hope you understand my point Elementor is the best plugin i have ever known & i also use this one. it has the revision as history. Here: https://docs.elementor.com/article/104-history If i can help with anything else please let me know else let me close this topic. thanks & regards

Thanks for the info. The question still remains though!  If WP Bakery Editor has revisions, why can I still not see them in the WPLMS Theme!  Even though I have now enabled the editor?  What am I missing?

Ok !! i don think it will work with that. share the screenshot where have you found the revision in wp-bakery. because they charge for this and comes in purchased version on wp-bakery. Refer: https://wpbakery.com/addons/undo-redo/ For the wordpress revision, refer this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YI5cgN3-Wck

All good - This has been resolved. The problem was WP Engine, (The host) had disabled Revisions.
