Course Drip origin

Currently, Course drip comes in 5 formats. Each of the format calculates the unit/section availability based on previous unit access time.

In WPLMS 2.3 we have added a feature “Drip Origin”, which tells us the starting point for drip feed, that is the previous unit or the course start point.

Following example will explain the difference :

Drip Origin as “Previous Unit”

  1. User takes a course which has drip feed enabled. Drip duration is 1 unit per day.
  2. User starts his course on Monday.
  3. The user accesses second unit on Tuesday.
  4. But accesses the third unit on Thursday.
  5. The fourth unit will be available on Friday.

Drip Origin as “Starting Point”

  1. User takes a course which has drip feed enabled. Drip duration is 1 unit per day.
  2. User starts his course on Monday.
  3. The user accesses second unit on Tuesday.
  4. But accesses the third unit on Thursday.
  5. The fourth unit will be available on Thursday as the Course was started by the user on Monday, and 1 unit per day since means the fourth unit is available on Thursday, which is the fourth day of the week.

Important Note : If the “Start Date” for the course is set (it is not blank) then the starting point becomes the Course starting date for all the users pursuing the course.
