April 20, 2017 at 11:26 am #107738MariWinParticipantHi, I have to use digimember and digistore24 (German laws and Taxes) instead of woocommerce and paid membership pro. I almost have figured it out now how to work around woocommerce, but what still doesn't work is to link my course at the frontend (for instance with the take this course button) to open another link (for instance my paying platforms site for the digital product). All it does is to open a course status page? Could you please give me a hint, where I could change this for multiple courses? Thank you very much, MarinaApril 20, 2017 at 12:43 pm #107762MariWinParticipantAlternatively, what could also help me, is if you could tell me, how to use WPLMS with woocommerce (as some sort of gateway) and not use the woocommerce payment option but rather redirect to a third site (digistore24) for each course separately, is there a way to do this? Thank you a lot, this conceptual plugin integration problem (of digimember and digistore 24) drives me insane ;-) MarinaApril 20, 2017 at 1:24 pm #107790MariWinParticipantUpdate: I created a woocommerce product with the same name as the course and linked them and used: External/Affiliate Product under woocommerce - there I can successfully add the link to a third party payment side. Now, will this work that people can pay on the external site and get login credentials to the course send and won't be able to view it if they didn't? Could you please help me to figure out logically how to do this with the different plugins, do I have to use the digimember membership plugin for this, or woocommerce? I am totally confused... Thanks...April 20, 2017 at 1:28 pm #107793H.K. LatiyanParticipantHi... There is already a setting present for this, please refer : https://vibethemes.com/documentation/wplms/knowledge-base/connect-take-this-course-button-to-external-page-2/April 20, 2017 at 1:41 pm #107799MariWinParticipantHi, Thank you, this worked also very well. This setting does not need the woocommerce plugin, or does it? And how does my WPLMS course know then that the person has paid for the course on the third party site? Maybe through the membership plugin? Thanks a lot, MarinaApril 21, 2017 at 1:51 pm #108007H.K. LatiyanParticipantThis doesn't require woocommerce, this only redirects the user to another url. ------------- Please confirm how are you making payments on the third party site, we already have a request to integrate it with samcart, are you using the samcart ?April 23, 2017 at 4:51 pm #108247MariWinParticipantHi, I saw now two possibilities: 1. to use Woocommerce, but set in the woocommerce settings "External/Affiliate Product" - then I can add a link and it will link to my digistore 24 product site, where users can buy it by using digistore 24. Probably after they buy it they will be sent login credentials and a link to the course start page on my LMS - which I would have to hide from view from other people by using a membership plugin, like digimember. What I still don't understand yet, is how I automatically let digistore 24 assign the user a login name (that will automatically also work on my site - unless the user refunds). What I like about this version is that I can view the price of a course (at least a fixed price) through woocommerce on my site, but: according to German law I must view the actual end price of the product with taxes, depending on the country origin of the buyer (which digistore24 does). Or at least write next to the price something like "price without taxes, for the final price view the next page..." 2. the option you have provided, to use the setting https://vibethemes.com/documentation/wplms/knowledge-base/connect-take-this-course-button-to-external-page-2/ without woocommerce, to directly link to my product sales page on digistore 24 - would be much easier or better. But: the problem with this is that I don't see any prices on my site for each course. And I am not sure how to "hide" the course then from non-byers. -> It would be great, if you guys could develop an integration/idea how to workaround for Digistore 24 (and digimember that comes with it?) as a lot of Germans use this paying system, because Woocommerce is from legal perspective not so well suited for use on German websites (taxes and regularities). Here is the website of Digistore24: https://doc.digistore24.com/technics/technical-access-to-the-system/how-to-connect-with-external-systems/which-systems-can-be-connected-to-digistore24/?lang=en Digistore24 is free for use, you just pay a certain percentage of the final sale - once you sell something. Works with many other Plugins and has some IPN or so interfaces/integration possibilities. Best regards, MarinaApril 23, 2017 at 5:00 pm #108248MariWinParticipantCheck this link for how to integrate Digistore 24 with other plugins through IPN (pdfs with instructions on the bottom of the page) : https://doc.digistore24.com/technics/technical-access-to-the-system/how-to-connect-with-external-systems/which-systems-can-be-connected-to-digistore24/?lang=enApril 24, 2017 at 1:27 pm #108508H.K. LatiyanParticipantRight now its not available in wplms. In wplms we use woocommerce plugin for payment system, so please try using woocommerce only and for members there is already buddypress plugin so there is no need to use digimember and digistore plugin. The wplms is not integrated with this plugin and therefore it won't work it them.
