Is Jetpack still a problem?

Hello there. I'm doing a new install on a second site (I have another).  I remember that during that install and the many searches through this forum held a little nugget that saved a problem I was having.  The answer was to turn off Jetpack.  Unfortunately, I don't remember what the issue was! ;-) Should I err on the side of caution and leave Jetpack disabled, or is this a known and fixed issue? Thanks!
