insert button for editing meetings

I wonder if there is a way to insert the button for adding/editing/deleting meetings into a template file? The meetings login form widget can be displayed with bigbluebutton's own wordpress plugin, and the meetings are as far as I can see independent of post or course. So I think of giving my instructors the option to add meetings i.e. from  a menu or the instructor dashboard. However, there might be have been done a lot of considerations to decide why the button is only available when editing a course or a post.
