December 24, 2015 at 2:08 pm #15490SuperDaveSpectatorWe have been developing a commercial site based on this theme for some 6 months. We aboiut 2 weeks from going live and are doing a full up test with 3 testers working over everything before going live. We have discovered something that was fixed months ago that has come back again. The course progress bar in not working correctly. Step (1) When you go into a course and complete course units the course progress bar shows an accurate percentage complete. GOOD Step (2) When you go to Dashboard and view the course progress widget the percentage shown is correct. GOOD Step (3) (a) When you then go back into the course the previous completed units are remembered and shown correctly. GOOD Step (3) (b) However when you look at the precentage complete bar it shows Zero percent complete even though previously completed units are stored correctly. BAD Step (4) If you go back to the Dashboard the course complete widget shows Zero Percent. BAD Step (5) When you go back in the course the percentage is still Zero and the units complete form previous sessions are shown and stored correctly. Then if you complete futher units its shows these units as an incorrect percentage as if the other previously completed and stored units were never completed. BAD Step (6) You then go to dashboard and the course complete widget shows this incorrect percentage from the previous session. BAD Step (7) When you go back into the course again units completed form ALL previous sessions are shown and stored correctly but the course complete bar shows Zero We are experienced and professional Wordpress users so before bringing this bug to you we tried to resolve ourselves. (1) Disable Ajax. This did not solve the problem. (2) We deactivated events plugin without effect. (3) Made sure all plugins were up to date and once again no effect. (4) We have a test site seperate to our developement site with the bear bones WPLMS theme plugins installed without customizations or other activated plugins. On this site the same behaviour is observed proving no plugin conflicts. If you are having issues replicating this bug I can give you access to our bear bones WPLMS test site so you can see and replicate the behavour yourself. I would have given you details hear but very very frustrating I cant see private setting and further more in my profile I cannot see any other way to raise a ticket arrrrrh While it is great to see the bugs in WPMS dramatically fall in recent months this is one that is very irritating to see as you guys have previosuly fixed this.December 24, 2015 at 2:11 pm #15491SuperDaveSpectatorWe cannot go live with this bug and his holding up a whole team of people and our business plansDecember 26, 2015 at 12:21 pm #15620Anshuman SahuKeymasterWe are unable to replicate the issue on our test site please check : http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/colOllhaUR I was unable to get the points from 3 (b) . Can you please share a video for this . I would also like to inform you that when user have not started the course the course progress in dashboard shows full with no percentage . This is an issue and fix will be available for this in the wplms dashboard plugin update .December 29, 2015 at 3:15 pm #16061SuperDaveSpectatorThe later point is a real bug and your right it needs to be fixed. The issue concerning course completion percentages was retested and it seems to have gone. We cannot replicate at our end. Very very strange as we had this bug on our development site and bear bones test bead (WPLMS them installed only) both on separate servers. Really cannot explain this but we will be looking for it again. Could be as a result of making many different users and deleting them thus confusing the database. Anyway gone now. I would like to keep this topic open unless it comes back.December 30, 2015 at 10:44 am #16170Anshuman SahuKeymasterIt maybe due to different course progress cookie set in the brwoser whne multiple user logs in from the same machine on same browser .January 5, 2016 at 10:49 am #16724SuperDaveSpectatoragree
