    1. on the home page, this css snippet shows up in the middle of the page

The home page is also showing in the middle of the page: Loading.. No more to load   3.  on all pages,  the javascript console prints: TypeError: jQuery(...).magnificPopup is not a function The source of this error is in wplms_modern.min.js ver 4.4.1  
    1. output of the page "single course" is garbled with all content pushed into one narrow column

      point 2) can be worked around by disabling infinite scroll on the home page   point 4) - buggy layout on the course page is resolved with WPLMS 2.0.2   ... the 2 other issues remain.

    It seems you have updated the plugins to the latest version but not updated theme. We have updated Modern theme as well in the latest update. Please update and check. Refer : https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/how-to-upgrade-to-wplms-2-0/   ALso for the css code appearing, save the settings for the grid in page builder. Let us know if this helps

    you're right the theme was not installed correctly - fixed now. thanks
