February 1, 2016 at 12:50 am #23554elearncanadaSpectatorI have a course where I cannot continue with the course after the quiz. Any ideas on how to fix this? This started after the upgrade. Thanks, AndrewFebruary 1, 2016 at 12:58 pm #23906Anshuman SahuKeymasterCan you please share steps to replicate the issue and screenshots about it ? Please also share admin credentials and url of that course to check this ? PS : mark reply as private while sharing credentials .February 1, 2016 at 10:20 pm #24181elearncanadaSpectatorHello Alex, This is happening in the Canadian Citizenship Exam Prep course here. After you complete the first quiz it will not let you continue. Admin credentials are: Username: WPLMSsupport Password: wplms54321February 2, 2016 at 12:20 pm #24391H.K. LatiyanParticipantIts seems like you have enabled passing scores for quiz in LMS settings, but not used this tip: https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/quiz-passing-score/ I applied this tip to "Canada's history Quiz" and I was able to continue course after I successfully completed the quiz. So apply this tip to all the quizes and you will be able to continue the course once the student has obtained the passing marks.February 3, 2016 at 4:33 am #24664elearncanadaSpectatorHello Latiyan, I tried doing what you mentioned for the Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship quiz, but it doesn't work. Also I tried the Canada's History quiz, and I had the same issue. Please see the screenshot attached. I'm just stuck, and I can't continue with the course... I can upload a video of my issue tomorrow if you need.February 4, 2016 at 3:35 am #25085elearncanadaSpectatorHello Latiyan, If you login and start the course from the beginning you can reproduce the issue. Could you please let me know how this can be fixed and/or what is causing the issue? Thanks, AndrewFebruary 4, 2016 at 8:18 am #25187H.K. LatiyanParticipantPlease refer this video: http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cDnfjlhNHA I set the passing score to 1 as I don't want to go through all 40 questions and I can pass the quiz by giving 1 or 2 right answers. At the end I was automatically taken to the next unit. Now I have again set the passing score to 80 as it was earlier.February 4, 2016 at 12:18 pm #25305elearncanadaSpectatorHello Latiyan, Thank you for the screen capture video; however, I think this is where we have a disconnect. It seems like you are starting the quiz through the backend or by some other way which explains how you initially started in the middle of the course. You need to start/continue the course from a student perspective either through the homepage or through your dashboard (which is how a regular student would enter the course). Steps to reproduce: 1.) Login - This takes you to the dashboard 2.) Select courses from the navigation bar on the left. 3.) Find the Canadian Citizenship Exam Prep course and click the continue button - you will see that you are unable to continue the course as the Next Unit> link is missing. Alternatively you can do this: 1.) Login 2.) Go to the website homepage (click home at the to of the screen) 3.) click the Canadian Citizenship Exam Prep course from the slider bar at the bottom of the homepage. 4.) Click the Continue course button at the top right hand side of the page. In either case you will be unable to continue the course, as the NEXT UNIT> link is missing. Please let me know if you are able to reproduce the issue, as I have been able to reproduce this issue on two completely separate computers which are on two completely separate networks. Thank you, AndrewFebruary 5, 2016 at 7:14 am #25582H.K. LatiyanParticipantYes , I opened the quiz directly, while making the video. Now I once again logged in your site and checked the issue as a normal user, and found the mistake that I made while typing the shortcode (I apologise for that). The mistake was: http://prntscr.com/9z83t8. In first it is pass and in second it should be fail, Now the code is correct. Also make sure the quiz id is right. You can get the quiz id by hovering the button edit in admin, refer: http://prntscr.com/9z82a1 Now it shows next unit when I have passed the quiz, refer: http://prntscr.com/9z84jb. If I fail the quiz it doesn't show me the next unit button, refer: http://prntscr.com/9z852t. Now Please use this code in other quizes also.February 5, 2016 at 4:49 pm #25827elearncanadaSpectatorO.k. I was able to change the code; however, I got 12/12 on the Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship Quiz. It looks like WPLMS is telling me I failed. This explains why I cannot continue to the next unit, and why the NEXT UNIT> link is missing. Why am I seeing a "Oops ! you have failed the quiz! please retry" message when I passed the quiz? Please see my screenshots. (Your screenshots ( <span style="color: #32a3cb;">http://prntscr.com/9z84jb</span> & <span style="color: #32a3cb;">http://prntscr.com/9z852t</span> are not working.)February 5, 2016 at 4:55 pm #25833elearncanadaSpectatorI will upload a screen capture video tonight to hep you see what I am seeing.February 5, 2016 at 8:11 pm #25865elearncanadaSpectatorHello Latiyan, I have posted a video demo of the issue. Please let me know how I can fix this issue. http://elearncanada.org/WPLMS/WPLMS%20Quiz%20Issue.mp4 Thank you, AndrewFebruary 6, 2016 at 7:09 am #25927H.K. LatiyanParticipantI think you didn't get what I said, I apologise for not being so clear. In the canada history quiz you are not getting the next unit button, because the passing marks is set to 80 and I have just scored 2 in that quiz, so I failed the quiz. If you set the passing marks to 1 then you will get the next unit button. The different quiz has different passing marks, that you set in quiz settings. In the quiz that says 12/12, That quiz I never took, I force fully skiped that quiz from the admin option. I think you are getting confused in this course, so leave this course for a moment and Please try making a new test course and a new test quiz in it and apply the code in that tip with correct quiz id and a valid passing score, then you will get it all correct and understand what I meant.February 6, 2016 at 5:29 pm #26151elearncanadaSpectatorHello Latiyan, Thank you for the clarification and your time on this issue. This helped me finally figure out the root cause of this issue! In the the older version of WPLMS I had allowed a % number in the Quiz passing score field. Once I upgraded, this field was no longer a % but a fixed number, so I was always failing the quiz. I'll go thorough all my quizzes and fix this. Thanks again for your help. AndrewFebruary 8, 2016 at 5:43 am #26325H.K. LatiyanParticipantThanx for the confirmation. So marking the topic as resolved and closing the topic.
