Actually these fields are handled by BuddyPress and we have no control over it. But you can try this:

For registration forms and while creating the shortcode for the form do not check the fields to appear in the registration form
We are using wplms to the end user not necessarily for students/ teachers. We just need a user to sign up using email id and password. Do we follow the same link for that as well?
Yes, from the above link you can actually control over fields but there are some fields which will be visible forcefully in your registration form.
Buddypress didn't provide option to remove those fields
