    i dont understand why there is text on the purchase button that says "the course will begin in 10 months" see picture

    Well itt seems that you have set a start date in your course . Please remove the start date or set a previous date as the start date of the course from course edit page -> course settings  tab . refer : http://prntscr.com/a2ndav
