Looking at the results of Activity log on my test site I realize what a time bomb it is. If the site community is active, with my two languages (double DB tables), in a short time all those records will explode the database. It does so many queries and records, that the site slowing down affect will be quite noticeable. One simple quiz takes 4 records Student initiated retake for quiz Student started the quiz Student got 5 out of 5 in Quiz Quiz was submitted by student I'm concerned, as I've had a bad experience with a translation monster WPML, which on LMS multi lang sites blows the DB size 5-10 times. Since then I said NO to WPML in big projects. I understand that BuddyPress Activity is a key element for quize implementation in WPLMS, but is there a way to limit what we are writing to DB / displaying to students to a minimum? Or even selecting what to log? Any plugin, any WPLMS tool?@isigma I was going to install WPML on my site to have the courses in English (current) and Spanish (New) but do you not recommend that in your opinion? Im not a developer or webdesigner I purchased the theme to sell courses, so your input would be appreciated Thank you A4DA@a4da I came through all the contemporary translation options, starting from qTranslate, which was actually the fastest method, but it (it's successor now days) doesn't cover all the custom fields in all the holes of WP and a theme. WPML is a monster. It was a great idea, but they started adding features, which do not work very intuitive with the DB (like image meta, etc.), and services (hire a translator online, etc) which dramatically increase DB, especially with custom posts with many custom fields. That's exactly what LMS sites have. Even though WPML covers everything one need to translate contemporary WP site, quite often their updates cause unrecoverable troubles.Plus they still do not support BBpress, and not fully BuddyPress! With this project I'm using the WP network solution. There are few underwater stones, but not deadly. Will be happy to give you some tips if you decide on the network. The biggest disadvantage of this method is that the same article in two languages are separated the most, comparing all the methods; plus two admin backend (technically -three :). The pleasant addition - you can sell websites (like WIXX, or squarespace), if you decide :) I plan on allowing my instructors to have own site for free in my network.@isigma I am a newbie and what you have stated is way over my head . But important part I did understand is don't use WPML.. I want my courses in English and Spanish so i was going to attempt WPML.. But again I am a newbie, not a developer or web designer. I need to find one I can't trust and that understands WPLMS. Thank you for the tip
