Please advise on best way and WHERE I go and HOW I can update the site to protect it. I cannot seem to find the place to make the improvements. My webhost monitors the site and had some advice (below). I appreciate your guidance in resolving these issues, as my site keeps going down from the excessive hits. Said my webhost support: "It appears the word press login page of the domain iguanaacademy.com was undergoing brute force attempts to be accessed. You should consider restricting this login page to only allow access to authorized users. You could methods such as IP address based restriction via edits to the .htaccess file or modifying the admin/login page name using a plugin such as. https://wordpress.org/plugins/hc-custom-wp-admin-url/ I also noticed the registration page iguanaacademy.com/register-in-wplms/ is receiving a large number of hits which could be indicative of spam/bot registration. You may want to implement a captcha on this page to prevent machines from completing the form." If you need to access our site, here are the credentials (confidential, please): iguanaacademy.com U: adming1 P: bCt7w8jlPLJL Thanks for your help. I have one more issue while login through social media platform, it shows some missing security error.September 21, 2018 at 7:22 am #177099DianaParticipant@qversity, I personally didn't test any Plugin for this purpose so I cannot recommend you one Check this article: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/block-spam-on-wordpress-multisite-and-buddypress-using-math-questions/ Check these Plugins: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/buddypress-captcha/ The above will work if you are using BuddyPress Registration Form If you are using Jetpack then this is already integrated into that. P.S. Do not pot on others topic. Create your own topic for your own issues
