March 7, 2021 at 2:28 am #344386rafael_amadorParticipantHello: Unfortunately I think I´m making a mistake and creating a licensing problem when testing for the installation of WPLMS on any theme (in this case Astra). I first comment on what I did and am doing and then explain my current problem. To understand how WPLMS is installed and used, I did a demo installation on a test server. That way I could have the experience of the entire installation process and see a demo environment working. This worked very well and I then proceeded to completely remove said server, simply deleting the WordPress installation (completely). So I started to install on a new server, following the instructions for incorporation into any theme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q3wbIs7Mzo; performing the installation on a clean server and where the WP installation had just been carried out. With this I already had some problems and concerns, which at the time I consulted through the forum. As in that process I carried out various tests and other things, because I left the server a disaster; so I also proceeded to remove the server, deleting the entire installation of it. With the above, I decided that I could now incorporate WPLMS to my production site, and that learning how to create and make the courses available could be done little by little in test spaces based on my production site. I staged the production server to install WPLMS there, incorporating it into my current theme (Astra), but when activating WooCommerce the site crashed due to a critical error. I had to dedicate myself to solving this problem first. This is done. The production site already has the latest version of WooCommerce installed and configured. So I am resuming the WPLMS installation on a production server staging. I first installed a full WPLMS server with one of the demos using the Setup Wizard; secondly, I started the installation of WPLMES on a clean server but with the Astra theme to follow (and remember) the steps of incorporation to a previous theme (without using the setup wizard); and as I completed this second installation, I proceeded to execute the same steps in staging, this is where the problems arose. When activating the addon licenses, for wplms-wishlist it pointed to Invalid License Key http://prnt.sc/10ex48q. I verified the license number that I received by email, and also the information that is in my profile at https://wplms.io/pwa; and in the latter I observe that there are two wplms-wishlist licenses and they are already using both (although I'm not quite sure where) http://prnt.sc/10ex06i I know that the WPLMS PDF Certificates plugin is installed and active in the demo site, in the first test of incorporation of WPLMS to the Astra theme and in the staging server. That is, I am using 3 licenses at the moment, and the page https://wplms.io/pwa indicates that, that I am using 3 licenses and that I have 5 in total. But I only have the wplms-wishlist addon installed in the first test of incorporation of WPLMS to the Astra theme, this is a license, and I could not activate it on the staging server. I do not understand why it is that I am informed that I already have two licenses in use. So I'm doing something wrong. Can you explain to me why this situation of the report of two licenses is occurring when I only have one installed? What should I do to delete the licenses that I use when mounting a test server if I am no longer going to use them (I don't want to be dragging the accounting of obsolete licenses that I am not using)? That is, how do I proceed to remove the license usage before removing the server? Thanks a lot I already see that increase in the number of activations of the wplms.io/pwa account reflected, with that I can continue with the tests that I am doing. Now, I still have a question about it. From what I can see, the activation of the packages serves to receive the updates that are periodically released; I understand that. And does this activation have any additional utility? In other words, I get the impression that, even without activating, the functionality of the addons will be available for my test sites; and the most convenient thing would be to activate only for the production site (especially considering that the test sites will be eliminated as soon as I am sure how I should do things for the production site), is this correct? Thanks a lot (If you prefer, give me your answer in private so as not to commit yourself in public with what you tell me, it is your decision)March 11, 2021 at 1:00 pm #345370Anshuman SahuKeymasterNo sir there is no additional advantages given apart from the regular updates by activating the addons . all the features of the addon works as soon as the addons are activated ,March 11, 2021 at 1:21 pm #345387rafael_amadorParticipantThanks for your answer Alex. I see then that the way I have been doing the tests so far is not adequate, I am sorry to find out now that I have wasted so many activations. I know then how to proceed in the future. Thank you again and we can close this issue. Greetings
