October 4, 2016 at 2:21 pm #73072CharlielynParticipantStudents are complaining of quizzes acting up. I have tested this as well. For both of the courses we have available on TheDreamersInstitute.com, students open quizzes and find answers already marked sometimes. If the answers are what they wanted, they select next, etc. Results may not accurately reflect what the student thought they selected. We are having other problems, per topic 72912, and perhaps this is related to "extra white space" or "forums not accessible" ?? LatiyanParticipantThis happens in the case when the same question is used in different quizzes. Well this has been resolved in the upcoming update of wplms 2.3 in this week.October 5, 2016 at 4:56 pm #73252CharlielynParticipantThank you. I will look for the update and keep that in mind!October 6, 2016 at 6:32 am #73314H.K. LatiyanParticipantThanks for the update. And you can use the same question in different quizzes after wplms 2.3 update.October 6, 2016 at 6:52 pm #73444CharlielynParticipantI hope so. I was told within the last month by one of your responders I could already do that. For now, I created dozens of duplicate, but different titled questions. I will be looking for the update. That's a huge help!October 7, 2016 at 6:49 am #73506H.K. LatiyanParticipantok.November 10, 2016 at 7:22 pm #79090nena14SpectatorThe issue with pre answerd questions is still happening now and then.November 11, 2016 at 8:59 am #79174Anshuman SahuKeymasterThat may happen if you are using same questions in different quizzes . Also please make sure that your students are submitting their quizzes after starting them. Also please create your own topic and share your admin credentials and url of that quiz there in private reply to check the issue .November 14, 2016 at 9:59 am #79612nena14SpectatorOkay, I have questions from a "question bank" in chapter quizzes and then using the same "question banks" in the quiz at the end of the course, as review questions of the whole course. Is this the problem? However, I think it is odd that this issues is appearing already when student takes the questions in the chapter quiz. Can the problem be because the question has been used, and answered, as embedded in units? Is this something that will be fixed in a update? Or is there a easy way to copy all the questions? In worst case I would need three copies of every question: one for embedding in units, one for chapter quiz and one for quiz at the end of the course.November 14, 2016 at 7:36 pm #79752CharlielynParticipantnena 14- After the 2.3 update, I still experienced the same problem as you described. Have to create questions for unit quizzes and then the same ones again for final quizzes. pretty time consuming! Hoping they will get to the issue one of these days, but at least we know how the game is played for now.November 14, 2016 at 8:28 pm #79759nena14SpectatorIt is also kind of tricky for the student because if a answer of a question is marked, then the student just leave that question as it is. But the system then interpret that as if the question is leaved blank. For marking the answer you have to chose another answer and then change back for the system to understand that the answer is marked. So now I know why it is as it is, but wish for us to be able to reuse questions in different quizzes. Or, second best, a easy way to copy questions (including LaTex).November 15, 2016 at 2:08 pm #79939Skywalker [ ex VibeThemes]Participant@nena, @chalielyn : Questions can be resused in multiple quizzes and they would not appear pre-marked. You do not need to create duplicate questions for multiple quizzes. No this is not a problem. But we're recording the question answer at two places, one is in the browser and other is in the database. The browser one gets reset only when the user submits the quiz, so in case of practice questions it might be possible that the question is pre-saved in the browser history which appears as marked in the final quiz. I will test this further and share more details on this...
