A lot of update issues

Hey all. First of all congratulations for the new improvements. I´m having some issues after the latest update, I searched a lot here in the forums but I couldn´t find anything about it yet. I´m using all updated theme and plugin versions... 1- The first issue happened after the Visual Composer update to 4.9.2 and 4.10, I´m having a space between some rows, but it happens JUST in rows that I´m using LAYER SLIDER, the rows with other stuff works well (as far as I see, cause I didn´t test with all the avaliable elements). The only way to solve it was changing to Textblock element and using the layerslider shortcode there, and just because on the text element we have the "DESIGN"tab, and there I can change the spacing between top and bottom rows. The strange part is that using other elements there is no need to change the spacing on the "design" tab of each object, I just need to change the spacing on the whole row and all works fine. Please if you find some better solution to it will be very helpfull 2 - I wanna hide the Activity, friends and Buddydrive on student dashboard (maybe forum button too). I want my students focusing just in watch their courses and nothing else like activity which is an awesome feature, but seems more like a social network feature for me. Specially because on activity there´s an option to upload files. I can imagine my students uploading useless files and filling up my server with this kind of stuff. There is a way to hide these menus?   3 -Students not receiving messages and notifications on his dashboards... The touchpoints are already configured, so , I made a test with a fake student account. I added a badge to him using admin function on a course, and the message/notification or email never get on the fake student dashboard. I´m creating my website on localhost for now, there is something related to it? Or it should work even offline? 4 - I can´t create more than 1 unit on front end. I create the first one and all works fine. When I add the second one I can´t write the unit name, the box is not selectable, I don´t know why. 1 .Seems to be more of visual composer issue . Contact the visual composer plugin or author for this . 2.Please note that in 2.0.6 we have added option in LMS -> settings for the activities to show to which user .To remove freinds please deactivate the friends connections component from wp-admin -> settings -> buddypress -> components and save settings . To disable the drive just deactivate the buddydrive plugin . 3. Check if the private messaging ,notification and activity streams  component is enabled from settings -> buddypress -> components . Note that activity streams is a essentials component for wplms to work properly . 4. Yes this is an issue with the Firefox browser on windows as of now in wplms . Please use the chrome till we get it resolved .

1 - Ok... I´ll try with them to solve it. But why just me having this issue. Why some bugs just happens with some people and with other ones not? (Noob question) 2 - I already did it before. Its here? But as far as I know this works just for course home page, not dashboard, right? Is that It? If yes... ONLY the Activity still showing for students DASHBOARD. :/ I also tried it:  But without success. What else could it be? *All the other menus there are ok, I could get rid of them. thanks. 3- Yes, it was all activated, but the streams are not hiting the students. OBS: In the above image the "Activity Directory" view is activated just for admins, but even using on ALL option, students still can´t receive notifications. 4 - Ok, I didn´t try on chrome, thanks for it.

1. Please share site url to check this issue first hand. 2,3. It seems there was some confusion here, yes you're correct. The profiles are built using BuddyPress and you can hide them You can disable BuddyDrive plugin if you do not want students to upload files, however this would also remove the Course drive feature. Friends can be deactivated from WP Admin - Settings - BuddyPress - Components We do not recommend disabling activity as it is required by the theme. However, there are 2 ways of fixing this issue : a. Hide the tabs via CSS. b. Remove the tabs via code. (example) b is relatively complex than a Let me know which fix do you prefer.

1 - Im working offline on my pc ; localhost. I was trying to fix the issues 2, 3, 4 before publish my website. So in some weeks maybe I´ll reopen a thread here just with the issue one so you can check it online 2 - All the menus are hidden now but activity I´ll try the option B and I let you know if I can fix it 3 - What about the notifications and messages not coming through students dashboard. There is some way to solve it or just analising the website online?   thanks for the support for now

3. Please share more information about this with screenshots .Please check if the related touch points are enabled from the Lms -> settings -> touch points .

yes alex they are. I wrote it on the first post here.. all activated for students and also for instructors. To receive msgs for every action as notification, msg and email (which never hit the student)

Have you tried the wp-mandrill plugin for this . Please also check this setting in your wp-admin -> lms -> settings -> emails -> enable html emails : http://prntscr.com/a59x0f and also check your email template is set or not .

Hey Alex, first of all thanks a lot for all you answers. So... I´ve been trying to solve these issues and here is the resume: 1 - The first issue (spacing between rows when using layer slider), I couldn´t solve yet. And as I´m doing everything offline in my "localhost" I think will be hard to you to help me. So, in some days I´ll publish my website and ask you about it again. 2 - I´m really noob on coding so , the Option B to hide the "Activity tab" on STUDENTS DASHBOARD Menu was a little hard for me. So if you can send me the option A (css) maybe I can do it. **All the other tabs I could hide. Thanks a lot for the help on it. 3 - The streams / mail now are working. I could find there was a lot of coincidences happening together. The first thing is that my server was for some reason blocked to Hotmail.com mails. So when I was doing the test, the fake user would never receive the touchpoint email. The second thing is that if I "add a badge to student" manually on ADMIN option of some course, the student won´t receive any notification, but the other actions like, start a course, or restart a course are hiting the user dashboard notifications perfectly. Another issue is that I set the "activity directory" access JUST for admins. But even the unregistered users can see it entirely see on the image below I´m not logged in and still can see all the activity of all students. Besides that, I have other 2 questions: - There is a way to Clear all the activity info/stats? Like a purge? - There is a way to Clear all the Course stats?  For example: I made a test creating a fake REVIEW to a course giving it 5Stars, then latter I have deleted the review , but the 5 STARS still there, even deleting the "review text". There is a way to clean all the Stars / stats too?

1. Sure will check the issue when your site becomes live . 2. There is simple settings for the activity tab for the permissions to see the activities in course from lms -> settings . refer : http://prntscr.com/a7ndcn Do not forget to save the permalinks from wp-admin -> settings -> permalinks after settings activity settings . there is also settings for the activity page access in wplms -> buddypress : http://prntscr.com/a7ndu9 3. Yes this is known issue and will be fixed in the upcoming update of vibe course module plugin .

I tried B option with no sucess, and now I´m asking for A. (css) option to hide Activity tab on dashboard students menu.

To disable the activity in profile please try adding the given code in your wplms-customizer.pph file in wplms customizer plugin  :

No, wplms customizer plugin is provided for only customizations and it does not gets any updates . So your changes will remain saved always .
