I have only updated WPLMS to 4.0 & deactivated WPLMS old plugins. But WP bakery stopped working. All WP bakery short codes are visible on course pages. they are not rendered by the_content filter.

IT seems the wp bakery page builder needs to be updated for latest wordpress.
You can find the plugin in latest theme update , themes/wplms/plugins/js_composer.zip

I checked this our and found out that there is actually wrong in the page builder content itself and visual composer shortcodes are not closing or opening properly.
If you try to create a new course you wont find this issue .

Well something is definately off and is not coming from theme Im sure , there is some content modified in that course which wp bakery is not able to parse in its editor .Try creating a new course and check if your get this in that one as well.,

If you take any course you can see all short codes of Wp bakery as it is.
No other person is working on this staging site.
WP bakery is working fine on pages. I have not made any changes to any page or course.

Well the issue is not related to code ,new course confirms that , the issue is related to visual composer and the content which is saved in the course for sure .

Well one reason behind this could be the editing the courses into new front end editor .
The new front end course creator has editor which is totally custom and is different than all the page builders and this editor does appends some divs with classes in the content , we have fixed this up in recent update of vibebp plugin . Please update it and check if the issue is appearing in the course which you updated?

I did update plugins but issue remains same.
after update I edited course content using wpbakery. but it still shows there shortcodes.
Please note: I didn't edit any course or page after updating theme & plugins.
All course content which were previously made using wpbakery. after update they were not modified by front end editor or any other editor.
Credentials are already shared with you. Please let me know how to fix this?
Well somehow the content has been and the only point where it can happen if when course is edited in front or in backend .OR this could be an issue from Visual composer itself .
What you can do is to take old backup of your wp_posts table and dump into new one to fix this .
