January 6, 2021 at 1:23 pm #332505llcplat21ParticipantHi, What is the recommended plugin to Arabic translation including pages and courses? ThanksJanuary 6, 2021 at 1:40 pm #332515DianaParticipantPlease check this: https://docs.wplms.io/translation-guideJanuary 7, 2021 at 8:28 am #332620llcplat21ParticipantThanks for the guide, The Loco plugin helps translating theme and files but not the database content. In other words, if I need to translate our courses, units or any wplms component, what freemium plugin you recommend to work with wplms?January 7, 2021 at 12:02 pm #332675DianaParticipantAll the strings included in theme or in wplms plugins will be translated by this plugin(but this is a manual translation, so you have to translate the strings) To translate the courses, Name the courses in that language in which you want to show it to your audience/studentsJanuary 11, 2021 at 11:56 am #333250llcplat21ParticipantHi, I understand the purpose of Loco plugin, but I need to have my courses, units, exams, pages, posts ...etc in two languages EN and AR and the user can choose his preferred language. Should I use the Polylang plugin, or is there any other recommendations that fits and supports WPLMS better? Regards.January 12, 2021 at 6:23 am #333397DianaParticipantPlease check this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hgtz9x3X85wJanuary 12, 2021 at 9:00 am #333437llcplat21ParticipantThanks, WPML is a paid plugin, and honestly, I prefer a free one, does Ploylang help in our case? Best regards,January 13, 2021 at 6:11 am #333606DianaParticipantYes, it should work. You can try using thatJanuary 13, 2021 at 8:50 am #333660llcplat21ParticipantThanks, Will give it a try and acknowledge you back. Regards,January 13, 2021 at 1:42 pm #333708llcplat21ParticipantHi, After activating the Polylang, we started with menus and we face the problem in the short clip here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1imlc-Z_9wZQefMIPYQo4n2OYoC7JCMiT/view?usp=sharing To summaries it, in the All Courses and Members Directory pages: - The Arabic translation link (flag) sends to the site's Arabic homepage?! - The Editing with Elementor shows the error in the video above?! Best regards,January 13, 2021 at 2:34 pm #333735llcplat21ParticipantHi, Another thing please, even if we could translate the courses and unit using any plugin this is happening from the Wordpress backend, isn't it?. what is the possibility to have this ability in the instructor's backend during creating the courses or editing them? Regards,January 14, 2021 at 8:36 am #333865DianaParticipantDear User, You are trying to edit the directories directly, and it is mentioned in the doc that you cannot do it like this Please check this: https://docs.wplms.io/administrator-guide/step-by-step-guide-for-administrators/directories http://prntscr.com/wn7ua9 And ABout Menu Translation in Polylang, so you should read the docs of the plugin that how to translate wordpress menus and it will work in same way. I didn't used this plugin personally so no idea about that, how the functionality work and other thingsJanuary 14, 2021 at 9:41 am #333883llcplat21ParticipantThanks Diana, What's you reply about this request:
Another thing please, even if we could translate the courses and unit s - regardless what plugin we are sing - this is happening from the WordPress backend, isn’t it?. what is the possibility to have this ability in the instructor’s backend during creating the courses or editing them?
This is a vital issue to us, thanks in advance.January 15, 2021 at 9:04 am #334106DianaParticipantYou mean functionality to translate? in Instructor's Backend? But we are not adding this functionality in theme. It totally depends which plugin you are using and which plugin assign these functionalities to which user roleJanuary 15, 2021 at 7:59 pm #334243llcplat21ParticipantHi Diana, Yes, it's a functionality which required like this: I want my instructor to be able to create two instances of any course and its components (meta-data, units, quizzes, etc.) one in English and the other in Arabic. And want this to happen from his account interface as instructor not from his Wordpress account backend. To do this we prefer free translation plugins like Polylang if it supports this kind of integration, If not - and if it's possible using any other plugins like WPML - please tell us. In all cases we need your help to know if this is possible and how to do it. This feature is so important to us and, to be honest, it might be a decider feature to continue using WPLMS or not. Best regards, -
