January 19, 2016 at 3:24 pm #19256rvanderhParticipantWe're having browser-specific problems with the course that we're setting up. In Internet Explorer 11 when I attempt to log in as a student (Participant), the Login link in the upper right doesn't drop down the login box. I have to go to /wp-login.php to sign on. Once I'm signed on, there are a number of style-related problems, including dropdown menus that are full-screen width, and on my personal dashboard page the default avatar is exploded to king-size proportions (see attached screen shot), while the bars for courses completed, quizzes completed, etc. are also stretched full-width. It seems there ought to be some browser-specific CSS hack for these issues, because any student using IE is going to have a pretty miserable experience trying to take the course.January 20, 2016 at 7:58 am #19387H.K. LatiyanParticipantWe are not facing any such issues in IE 11, refer: http://prntscr.com/9seutz So please share your site url and appropriate permissions to check the issue on your site.January 20, 2016 at 1:54 pm #19474rvanderhParticipanthttp://library.umassmed.edu/wordpress_mooc3 username: rvanderh password: M00c_test! I currently have IP restrictions in place so you'll probably have to send me your IP range so I can allow it. But you may be able to detect problems even before you log in.January 21, 2016 at 7:53 am #19600H.K. LatiyanParticipantI checked your site with the credentials that you gave me, and it looks like this to me: http://prntscr.com/9su6j2. I cannot access your wp-admin, it shows me forbidden error, refer: http://prntscr.com/9su4oc. Please go to appearance->widget->instructor sidebar and again set the width of all the dashboard widgets.January 21, 2016 at 2:17 pm #19687rvanderhParticipantAs I wrote in the last reply, I have IP restrictions in place. Try it again as I have allowed your IP range. What version of Internet Explorer did you view the site with? I will take a look at the appearance widget to see if that alleviates the problem.January 21, 2016 at 4:06 pm #19705rvanderhParticipantI went to the Appearance > Widget page and looked at all the settings for the sidebars. Nothing I changed solves the IE rendering problem, which is, everything expands to the full width of the browser window. So I went in the IE Debug utilities and found some elements referencing the buddypress.css file. I added one declaration for the avatar image and instead of rendering the full width of the browser window it now looks like you see in the attached screenshot. However, you will notice that the rest of the page elements, including the sidebar items under the avatar, are still expanded the entire width of the window. Also, the screenshot shows how the "Course Home" menu looks like when you mouse over: the sub-menu items are also expanded full-window width, so that "Course Status", which should be right below "Course Home," is expanded all the way over to the left. I updated to the latest version of BuddyPress but that did not solve the problem either.January 22, 2016 at 8:51 am #19804H.K. LatiyanParticipantI am using IE 11 but I do not see anything like in your screenshot. Refer the screenshot: http://prntscr.com/9t9w0v
