I tried to update the "WPLMS Dashboard" plugin (version 1.9.8) in /wp-admin (backend), but WordPress could not, giving me the error message "Update Failed: undefined." What is the solution?

Also, the same problem and error message ("Update Failed: underfined") with the following WPLMS plugins tonight:
    • Vibe Course Module
    • Vibe Custom Types
    • Vibe Shortcodes
    • WPLMS Assignments
    • WPLMS Dashboard
Thank you for providing the reason and solution. :)

Can you please try updating plugins manually via FTP and check.

Can you explain how I update via ftp? Specifically, where do I obtain the plugins for downloading and then uploading to ftp? Thanks for your guidance :)

Downloading: You need to download the WPLMS theme package from Themeforest and unzip wplms.zip Go to wp-content/plugins and downwload the plugins For uploading, refer this : https://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Installing_Plugins

Thanks again for the quick response! Okay- so I cannot just upload the entire folder "wplms" (WPLMS Package > wplms.zip > wplms) into the /wp-content/themes/wplms folder? Instead, I must open that the wplms folder and upload the individual folders? Seems dangerous- like I might upload to the wrong location, etc.!

    a. Content (Course, units, quizz,es questions, posts, pages ...) are stored in database and moving files would not remove/change the existing content. So even if you upload files at wrong place, simply re-upload and it'll be back. b. Check the "Alternate way of installing the theme" video link, and you'll be able to update the theme.
