Hi, 1- You can assign courses to student from pwa using this option in manage course https://prntscr.com/11yfqxg 2- Because you have enabled this option from lms >>setting --> https://prntscr.com/11yfoi6

hi for point 1: you can use this widget in the sidebar http://prntscr.com/11yl347 for point 2: You need to first set the course layout to blank from appearance>>customize>>layouts Then remove BuddyPress single page from vibebp>>settings and refresh BuddyPress navigation. then reconnect BuddyPress single page.
