Deactivating Visual Composer

My visual composer rarely updates. But also I rarely use it. I see there is an option to deactivate it. If  I choose to deactivate it can I delete it? Don't like leaving deactivated plugins on my website.

@lynnpal, If you are not using the components of visual composer anywhere on your site then you can delete it. Whenever you'll need the plugin, you can download it from the wplms package

If I keep it, how do I get a correct license key for it? This is the error I keep getting.
