    When a student submits an assignment. The instructor sees beneath the assignment  a button (download attachment ) But nothing is linked to that button it directs you back to the page for submissions ( if there isn't a ''attachment'' uploaded the button should not been shown.)

    Yes your point is valid ,the download attachment button should not be visible if the assignment is of textarea type . We will be adding this fix in the upcoming update of wplms .
