February 1, 2016 at 12:11 pm #23872JonGledhillSpectatorHi I regularly download the stats from my site in order to track users progress in specific courses. This worked fine previously but after the recent update this no longer works. I only need 5 out of the 12 columns in the exported CSV for all students but the export fails. I need to inform some users of current course progress ASAP and would appreciate assistance with this. My site has been updated fully.February 1, 2016 at 2:55 pm #24026sandyMemberThe download stats files are put in a folder : wp-content/uploads/stats section. Try downloading stats files from there. open yoursite.com/wp-content/uploads/statsFebruary 1, 2016 at 4:23 pm #24070JonGledhillSpectatorThanks! Any ideas why downloading using the link is failing? I've attached the file I was able to download using your instructions. The Start date is missing. I'm assuming the dates for the unit status is a new feature which is fine. I do need to be able to sort the export by start date though. I'd appreciate it if you could take a look. Cheers JonFebruary 2, 2016 at 12:48 pm #24405MrVibeKeymasterThe download stats seems to work fine for our setups, so I am not really sure why it was failing. The start date is captured from Activity, so can you confirm the start date from Course - Activity section ?February 2, 2016 at 2:06 pm #24459JonGledhillSpectatorI use an institution ID which works 90% of the time and the course attendees that forget to include it when they sign up are found by sorting by Start Date in the exported stats CSV file. I'm able to find the file on the server (although this takes much longer than the easy single click way which worked a few weeks ago) but I'm not sure why that information is not being passed to the export CSV file. Finding the information from the activity section won't work as I don't know the users details until I can sort by date and have access to the full list of users. I've not changed anything on my end other than updating as recommended and this has worked great for the last 12 months for nearly 1000 course attendees. It's a real shame that this upgrade seems to have removed this vital functionality.February 3, 2016 at 11:31 am #24837MrVibeKeymasterYou still haven't answered my question. There has been no change in the download stats area. a. Do you see the activity being recorded ? b. Did you manually add the students to the course or they themselves subscribed to the course ? p.s : Please do not comment too early, it is demotivating for support staff to provide support once you've already made a judgement.February 4, 2016 at 11:44 am #25281JonGledhillSpectator
Apologies - Your wording was ambiguous. I thought you were suggesting I should confirm start dates from the activity section of the site from now on. I didn't realise what you meant was to confirm I can see them in the activity section.

A simple misunderstanding.

I had activity switched off in BBPress settings which was causing this error.
