Drop down question type not displaying in quizzes

Hi there, dynamic questions and auto evaluation appears to be working fine on my site however when I use the drop down question type, only the question appears in the quiz, there is no way of answering it. See screen shot http://prnt.sc/nlrin3 Can you help? Thanks

Also, I'm having real difficulty attaching assignments to units - i've tried all the guidance i found on here but assignments i create are not being picked up by the unit
