Note that the while creating custom sidebar from wplms -> sidebar manager you should not put any spaces or any special character in the name of the sidebar. You left spaces in your sidebar .Please only put alphabets or numeric characters in it . 2. Please note here that on Forums page only Bbpress sidebar is added . So please add the widgets in Bbpress sidebar from wp-admin -> appearance -> widgets and then check the forums page . 3. I checked the registration page sidebar issue and found that the function that shows the sidebar is not getting the register page id which is 22 in your case but it is retruning 0 . However the page title and sub title are working which are shown using the same variable id and they are fetching the information using the same id . I edited the file a bit to get your issue resolved but it is not a full proof solution .We have to check why the same code is not working in same file .June 24, 2016 at 7:20 am #54963ivanbayrossSpectatorThanks for the reply. 1. The custom sidebar name were created long back. Just curious. In the previous version it worked with spaces. Did not give any trouble. Why are spaces giving a trouble in the updated version? FYI, we went ahead and removed the login widget and added our text widget. We also noticed that there is 0 added before Site Registration see: http://www.screencast.com/t/R517Gkie4 Any ideas why that is happening. 2. Just curious. In the previous version we created a dynamic sidebar and added it to the forum page and it worked. Did not give any trouble. Why did the update cause it to break? Hence forward, we will add all the BBPress Widgets in the Bbpress sidebar. Can we go ahead and delete the dynamic sidebar named - forumpage? 3. Please let us know what changes you have made in the registration page, so we can keep track on the changes made?June 24, 2016 at 7:51 am #54967ivanbayrossSpectatorWe did a few test on our website. Here is what we found out. We created a new dynamic sidebar named - sidebar testing - (with space). First Test: We created a new page named - Test. We added some content and selected the appropriate sidebar under the Page Setting option. We save the page as Draft and viewed the page. On viewing the page, the new dynamic side named - sidebar testing - does not appear. Second test: We created a new post named - Testing Post. We added some content and selected the same appropriate sidebar under the Page Setting option. We save the post as Draft and viewed the page. On viewing the post, the new dynamic side named - sidebar testing - appeared. Is there a difference between the post and page template? Apparently when you create a dynamic sidebar (with spaces) and assign that sidebar in the post, the sidebar works. But if you assign the same sidebar to a page it does not work. Why is this happening?????? Any help will be appreciated.June 25, 2016 at 5:51 am #55124Anshuman SahuKeymaster1. this may be the issue with the register page only ./ It may be due to a third party plugin due to which the id of the page is not fetching in the sidebar filter as we are not able to replicate it on our test site. 2. Yes it may be working but not properly . The issue was just related to the Register page . You can check the test page that you have created sidebar is appearing there now .You have not selected the appropriate page template for the sidebar to appear . Please choose right sidebar or left sidebar page template for the sidebar . And yes you can delete the forumpage sidebar as you would be using the bbpress sidebar . 3. Just take backup of your wp-content/themes/wplms/registration/register.php file . Actually you can install blankchildtheme for this fix and copy your registration folder in this child theme . the purpose is that as child theme will overwrite the register.php file of main theme and the fix will work . In this way you do not have to worry about the "changes will lost on update " . Note : When you switch themes all the widgets in sidebars and menus get reset .This is default wordpress behavior . so apply above fix appropriately . You have to setup the widgets and menus again if you switch themes . -
