H5P quiz integrated in WPLMS problem

Hi, I created a quiz with the H5P pluggin. Then, I integrated it in a quiz page. When I try to do it online I can see the quiz and do all the questions but the "Start Quiz" link is visible on the bottom and the timer is not starting. When I click on the "Start Quiz" link, the questions disappear and the time starts the countdown. The "Submit quiz" link is there but when I click on it, it says that I have non answered questions. Therefore, there is nothing from the quiz that has been recorded in the course. In case of h5p quiz,the start quiz button does not shows .I guess there are some js errors in your site that's why the start quiz link is showing in your case . Also h5p does not follow the timer as it is user dependent .We record h5p quiz marks as soon as user clicks on the finish button in h5p quiz . So I would not recommend you to set unlimited duration for h5p quiz as auto submit feature is not supported as of now in wplms with h5p quizzes . Please also share your site url and admin credentials to check this issue at your end . PS : mark reply as private while sharing .

Hi! It would be great if we can use H5P in Questions instead of putting it in the Quiz header! it would be hidden from the beginning and the student should start the quiz to start viewing the H5P. The timer will be working then. I think that it can be solved by having special type of questions called H5P question type, the possibility to store H5P progress inside WPLMS quiz, and storing the final marks for this question based on quiz submission. I have posted a feature request about this three weeks ago! Regards,

Well I checked your site and found that you were not using the wplms h5p shortcode .You were using h5p's default shortcode . Sorry to interrupt this topic, @Alex, the main idea is that H5P quiz can group questions like fill blank type. It can add multiple fill blanks for one question, and it can be evaluated based on the correct gaps count. Example: you can have 10 fill blanks for one question with 10 marks total. if the student solve 6 out of 10, he will get 6 / 10 as a final result for this question. In other way in fill blank question type of WPLMS, the student should solve all of the gaps to get the mark. if he misses one he will get 0 / 10 ! If you can fix this with WPLMS fill blank question type it would be great, because I have a lot of English tests and a lot of fill in gaps! I have posted a feature request about this. Regards,

I try tried again and it work some way but not entirely like in the tutorial. The “start quiz” link is still there so even if the quiz works, if a learner clicks on that link, the previous problem will come back.

There are other things that I found out.

1-     When you try to add the H5P code directly from the WP Dashboard with the button in the admin mode (or actually from the Visual composer pluggin), the code that appears is only [h5p id="16"]. That the way I did it the first time.

 

2-     Still from the WP Dashboard in the Classic mode, the H5P button doesn’t work at all.

 

3-     But when you do the modifications directly from the web site like in the tutorial, the whole code line is there like in the video. However, I realised that only the H5P interactive contents with ID from 1 to 10 are displayed in the choices list. The one I needed is ID-16. I can manually change it, but I think that it is good that you notice that problem.

                                            

Anyway, for now I have decided to keep using the questions from WPLMS instead of H5P. When you click on the “Check Results” link from a H5P quiz, it sends the learner to a page that is not intuitive enough for an average learner. The popup window that appears when you click on the same link from a WPLMS quiz is better.

Well the whole point is the shortcode your are using .You need to make sure that you are using " wplms_h5p " shortcode and it also has a unit_id parameter with it . Note that this parameter is important and should have the unit id in which you are adding the wplms_h5p shortcode .  Add h5p button shows both in front end as well as in back end . But in front end we overwrites h5p popup and it embeds wplms_h5p showrtcode . IF you add h5p shortode from front end then you do not need to worry about unit id and shortcode .It will automatically add the unit_id and also appropriate shortcode which is wplms_h5p . So I would recommend you to embed the shortcode from front end course edit page . If you want to use it in backend then please make sure that your are using correct shortcode wplms_h5p  and also have unit_id param in it . for reference I have created a quiz in your site : H5p quiz which you have moved to trash now .
