May 30, 2020 at 12:31 am #264193peterdanieloSpectatorI'm trying to translate these points, but I can't find where to do the translations. I'm using the Loco Translate plugin, I followed the tutorials and nothing. I know that most translations are found in the Vibe Course Module plugin and wplms theme where I was able to translate without any problem. Wordpress is configured for my father's language (Brazilian Portuguese) Those are the words I couldn't translate:
- Course presentation and unit presentation
- In user panel
- In Login area
- In Quiz area
May 30, 2020 at 5:43 am #264207DianaParticipant@peterdanielo Are you saving the translations at the correct path?May 30, 2020 at 1:44 pm #264349peterdanieloSpectatorSorry Diana, but I didn't understand your question. I found the plugin or theme in Loco translate and translated the expressions I needed. Some worked without problems. It was one or the other plugin that I had that didn't have the translation package and I had to create it. These I had no problems, the translations go smoothly. I'm having problems with these translations that I informed and visualized in the forum calls that some people had the same problem. But I didn't decide because the answers are private. ThanksJune 2, 2020 at 12:13 am #264913peterdanieloSpectatorI managed to translate the theme, I identified the problem. I ended up changing the location of the translation file. Before I was in the plugin directory, I switched to the wordpress translation directory. The template is all translated, just one place I couldn't change. https://snipboard.io/uXUCkf.jpg I know that this item is in the general settings of the LMS. But I was unable to edit the Item Configuration. I tried to create a new item by following this tutorial: https://vibethemes.com/documentation/wplms/knowledge-base/customise-profile-menu-dropdown-wplms-2-6/ But it does not allow you to insert the shotcode. https://snipboard.io/ZrmuLe.jpg How to translate or create a new translated item?June 3, 2020 at 5:03 pm #265556JacksonBlockedhi,
this can be done via loco translate you have to search the string and then translate it. search this in
themes and plugin one by one.
yes this can be happen with the help of loco translate plugin.
refer to this tip: https://wplms.io/support/knowledge-base/translate-using-loco-translate-plugin/
you need to translate every string from all plugins and theme. translated them one by one. On every update local files will be affected so that you need to put these translated files into global folders. it will prevent string loss from the update.
here is how you can achieve this.
Note: in this, I am using my local test setup site language which is "Português do Brasil". you have to select your site language.
Always sync and save the pot file
Note: Always copy local .Po | .Mo files into the global folder. it will prevent from translation string loss while updating theme/ plugins
- then goto wp-admin > loco translate > theme/plugin > theme name / plugin name.
- Copy author file to system file.
- the author stands for local file and the system stands for the global file.
- once your done copying. from now you have to translate a string in global (system) file.
These steps should be followed for all plugins and themes in which you are making any changes.
