Hosting & Website loading

Dear, if every course have to upload a video(15mins long), which size is too big, does it make the hosting too heavily?and  make the whole website loading too much then the website becomes slow? Do you have any recommend to cut down the loading?what should i do to make website loading light? via VIMEO? S3?

yes hosting videos on your own server consumes bandwidth (when video is being played) and space on your server as well , if bandwidth is good enough it does not affect that much on site speed. You can use vimeo to server videos

Well it will be good choice to host videos on vimeo as it comes with various options . Also it has ability to protect the videos .
