December 19, 2019 at 6:26 pm #237332rbarnette_237ParticipantHi, We are using EventOn RSVP plugin to check-in participants who attend our certification events. We would like to be able to assign users who are checkin and complete the event to a group automatically. We would then like to give this group access to a set of files on Buddy drive that they can look at and download. We don't want them to be able to "upload" or "share files" as of yet on Buddydrive. Can you please share with us how:
- We can assign users to group automatically like this using the EventOn plugin - if possible?
- If it's not possible to do this with the EventOn RSVP plugin, is it possible to do it by having users complete a course. And then upon completion of a course be automatically assigned to a group?
Or, is it possible to assign a course to a user who is assigned to a group (such as pre-certified) and then upon completion of that course assign them to another group (such as certified)?
Thank you for helping us figure this out! Team BVC

Well that depends upon the eventon code and exactly when you want to add the student to group . 2 . yes its possible , we can add a setting to select the group to which user have to be added upon completion . 3 . this is not clear exactly when the user will be added to another group ?January 21, 2020 at 3:44 pm #240125rbarnette_237ParticipantThis reply has been marked as private.January 22, 2020 at 2:07 pm #240258Anshuman SahuKeymaster2 . nope there will be a setting in course setting where you will select the group in which the user should be enrolled in .January 27, 2020 at 8:42 pm #240777rbarnette_237ParticipantHi, Sorry - I'm not fully following. What's the student's experience of this? They are enrolled in a group once they take a course? How does this then give them access to a buddy drive that is only available to the users assigned to that group? Is there any way to sign a user to a group, without them having to take a course, which would then make it possible for them to have access to a buddy drive based on that group assignment? Thanks! MKJanuary 28, 2020 at 12:45 pm #240848Anshuman SahuKeymasterWhat im saying is that we can add the user into a group after they completes a course and then using buddydrive you can share the files in that group in which the user will be assigned after completing the course . How do we know which group they will be assigned to ? we dont know this is why we will have a group made for each course already and then select this group in the course settings in order to assign the user to this group .January 29, 2020 at 2:21 pm #240975rbarnette_237ParticipantOK - Thank Alex. So, what I understand from this is that the only way to assign a user to a group is by having the user complete a course that has a group associated with it. I'll test this out. Much appreciated.January 30, 2020 at 7:04 am #241020loganMemberAlright !! -
