How to mark attendance

Hi, I have activated Attendance add-on. I know there is an option for automatic attendance, but if I don't set this option, where can student mark his attendance? Would there be a checkbox to check to mark attendance?

Ok, but if I (administrator) create a course and set "course attendance" but I do not set "auto attendance", how can student mark his attendance? If "auto attendance" is not enabled (but "course attendance" is enabled), student will see a field (or some other type of field) to mark his attendance?

If auto attendance is not set, which means administrator first verify if the user go through the unit or completed any unit or not only then administrator can mark attendance. Students cannot do anything here, only instructor can mark attendance
