Include Messages, Notifications count on top menu

Hi guys, We've eliminated the buddypress menu under the cover image in our campus. We thought it was confusing for our users to have two navigation lines, the one on top of the header and the buddypress one. To summ up we just want to maintain the top menu with all the navigation elements included, including the buddypress ones. The only problem is that when we add the items to the menu by the wordpress menus the items like "notifications", "messages", ¨friends¨etc do not show the count. I mean items when they are in the top menu do not show how many messages, notifications, friends etc... Is there a way that items show that info when they are included in the top menu? That would not be available in menus . That is only available in the Buddypress profile menus . Actually you can use the app style header for that .It shows the counter for notifications and messages . refer : http://prntscr.com/cfwrw9

I see, that could work but the app header does no look how we want. It would be great to have the envelope and the bell with the number of messages and notification in the sleek header, over or under the profile name and circled photo. That would be a perfect design for us but we do not really how to show that in the sleek header. Is that possible? Thanks in advance.

Or do you know any widget plugin that would show notifications and messages info? With a widget we could show that info in the dashboard page of the user.

Well in sleek header if you click on your username it shows the counter as well in the login widget . please check : http://prntscr.com/chxhgr this is what available as of now in wplms . you can search for third party plugins for this on wordpress.org
