    my website need to update plugins but its too slow and can’t updated its give me error 504 - Gateway Timeout This is a temporary error. Please try again later.

    5xx are typically server errors. And this seems like a network error. As the plugins page needs to access other sites this could be a temporary issue with your web host. Optionally disable automatic updates for some plugins using this plugin and check the updates page again. https://wordpress.org/plugins/stops-core-theme-and-plugin-updates/ And check this tutorial as well : https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-disable-plugin-updates-in-wordpress-and-why-you-shouldnt/
