October 18, 2017 at 8:10 pm #132906sirindesignsSpectatorDear Support, Please help! The previous theme version (before transferring emails to BP) had an email template for welcome email, which I edited long time ago and it was working fine. After emails have been transferred to BP, the default WP email is received as a heap of code – the HTML is not showing. I use Postman SMTP plugin with it but it doesn't help. The email comes like this: https://prnt.sc/gz3ek6 I followed some advises and installed SB Welcome Email Editor plugin. Upon that the emails started looking good, like I set it up: https://prnt.sc/gz3j77 But I've got another issue. Now 2 welcome emails come simultaneously. One is good looking by SB Welcome Email Editor, and the 2nd one is WP default, the same old template: https://prnt.sc/gz3j0p. It comes in HTML view, however, we don't need 2 welcome emails duplicating each other! If I switch off SB Welcome Email Editor, the initial issue with HTML not showing appears again. If I keep it on, we have emails duplicating. And I can't find the previous welcome email template even, to edit it or switch off. Please advise, it's quite urgent! Thanks a lot.October 18, 2017 at 8:15 pm #132907sirindesignsSpectatorThese are two emails instead of one in the email account: https://prnt.sc/gz3n6rOctober 20, 2017 at 6:18 am #132992H.K. LatiyanParticipantHi, The wordpress sends the email for the new user registration by default, have you enabled any other plugin which can send this email. I checked this on my test setup but couldn't replicate this issue. Please try deactivating your third party plugins.October 21, 2017 at 4:23 pm #133096sirindesignsSpectatorI tried already, doesn't help. Please advise where can I edit the default WP email? It was possible in previous theme versions but no such option now.October 23, 2017 at 10:52 am #133207H.K. LatiyanParticipantHi, This is the wordpress default email and is not handled by wplms. You can refer this tutorial for editing it: http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-send-a-custom-welcome-email-to-new-users-in-wordpress/October 23, 2017 at 7:43 pm #133313sirindesignsSpectatorHi, I know of course that it's a default WP email and not handled by WPLMS. But you keep ignoring my question. I said that in previous theme versions I WAS ABLE TO EDIT that WP default email, and the evidence is that whenever the user registers on a site he gets a welcome email like this: https://prnt.sc/h12z87 From the code you may see that I was able to change default text and add a logo etc. However, now it comes like a code, not html view, and I can't locate anymore in the theme settings where I can edit that code. Though I was able to before, in old LMS settings. The tip you gave I've tried already, SB email editor doesn't help at all. The issue remains the same.October 24, 2017 at 2:57 pm #133436H.K. LatiyanParticipantHi, In wplms 1.x versions we used to have our own email template and we used to convert every email sent from the wordpress into html because at that time the buddypress had no email template. But now buddypress has its own email template and therefore we have removed our previous custom email templates in wplms 2.x versions and have migrated all our emails to the buddypress emails. Now all our emails are sent from buddypress plugin. ------------------ Unfortunately now we cannot add our previous email template again in wplms. So it cannot be changed from wplms as of now.
