Further to my post, we had a W3 Total Cache plugin turn on to help us increase website load time. When I deactivated the plugin our site started behaving properly  in Safari on Windows and in Safari and Chrome on Mac. Why is it that when cache plugin is turned on the site breaks in Safari? Any help will be appreciated.

This is a common issue with all Buddypress themes. This is due to minification of scripts and styles. We have added inbuilt minified files in WPLMS 2.0 update releasing soon.
