I've uploaded my client's logo but when resizing the window, it gets narrower and thus deformed.

Please use this css in your appearance->customize->custom css:
#logo img, #alt_logo img {max-width: 270px;}
Also add this custom css for the logo height on scroll:
#headertop .homeicon img, #headertop.fixed .homeicon img {max-height:100px}
I'm seeing a similar issue on my site, instinctivecognition.com. If I narrow the browser window to about 990px wide and the layout changes to one designed for mobile, the logo deforms--it becomes too narrow. If I keep making the window narrow, the logo's proportions will eventually correct itself and continue getting smaller as expected.
Will setting a max-width in css work in case as well?
You can see the distorted logo in this screenshot:

In the earlier versions we didn't have the option to upload a separate mobile logo in wplms. But now we do have this feature.
You can go to wplms->header->upload mobile logo, and upload a small logo for mobiles.
